Befriender - Rushmoor

Are you a friendly person who likes to have a cup of tea/coffee and a chat? Can you spare an hour or so a week?

We are looking for people to join our friendly team of volunteers that help support Rushmoor residents who are lonely, socially isolated and may be housebound.

As a volunteer Befriender you will be making a positive difference to someone's life by providing regular weekly visits or phone calls to them during the day.

We will match and introduce you to a local resident who you will then chat with on a weekly basis. Typically, this will be for an hour at a time that suits both you and the person who you will be befriending.

This is a very rewarding role that can make all the difference to someone’s week and provides friendship, company, and a chance to really contribute to the community.
