Camp in the Clouds Facilitator

Are you looking for a fun and rewarding experience which you can do from the comfort of your own home?

We help children, young people and their families living in the UK reach beyond the boundaries of their health challenges to discover a world of mischief, magic and new possibilities. We do this by providing free of charge, transformative activity camps throughout the UK but also run remote Camps in the Cloud so that children, young people and their families can experience the magic of a camp from home.

A Seriously Fun Box, packed with everything needed to participate in Camp in the Cloud, will be posted to the family. Families are also given access to our secure online platform where they can engage with a meaningful programme of activities and games. 

Camp in the Cloud provides valuable opportunities for children, young people and families to interact in real-time with other families, through secure message boards and video calls, which are all facilitated and monitored by our staff team and Volunteers.  

We are looking for online facilitators to help us ensure that our Camps in the Cloud run smoothly. There are two types of camp:

Camp in the Cloud Health Challenges & Siblings Camp

We need your help to bring the camp magic and fun to our virtual camp. Campers will be divided into teams based on their age groups between 8 and 17. Each team has a cabin chat at the end of each day, these are a reflective and fun part of camp and we need your support to facilitate these along with a small team of other volunteers. You will join campers to facilitate opportunities for them to reflect back on their achievements of the day and help them build friendships with other campers through fun chats, team games and even inter team challenges, get your face paint ready! Cabin chats are over three nights and we also ask you to pop on to the online platform to join in chats on the message board and celebrate pictures of camper’s amazing creations.  Cabin chat times are 6.15 pm to 7.45pm or 7.45pm to 9.15pm. 

Camp in the Cloud Family Camp

The role of an Online Facilitator at family camps is to join either a morning or evening session where you will join interactive calls with the families, help facilitate the activity and just join in the fun and encourage everyone else to do the same. All the families are always very keen and excited for a fun day, we need you to bring lots of enthusiasm and sense of fun to help us create the best family camp spirit for everyone. Joining in the chats on the message board and posting positive comments on the pictures posted helps carry on the magic throughout the day. It’s very rewarding to see all the families and campers having a such a great time.   

Skills

We are looking for people with a diverse range of skills. Above all we value enthusiasm, a sense of fun and a genuine desire to empower children and young adults with serious health challenges.
