Conservation Volunteer

Do you like nature and being outdoors? Would you like to support a wonderful country park in Aldershot?

Brickfields Country Park is one of the smallest country parks in the UK being just under 8 acres. We are looking for people to help maintain this wonderful park including its pond and woodland areas. We welcome involvement from anybody, as members of the group or occasional volunteers.

Work parties are held in the park on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month from 1pm - 4pm unless it is bucketing down! Tea and biscuits (sometimes even cake!) are supplied.

The volunteering includes a range of tasks from pond clearance to path building, we are insured for public liability, tools are provided and a safety briefing is carried out at the start of each session.

Children under 16 are more than welcome to join us if they are accompanied by a parent or guardian. This is an excellent opportunity for someone doing their Duke of Edinburgh award!

Skills

No special skills are required, just enthusiasm, suitable footwear and a willingness to contribute to your environment. The most important thing is a willingness to get stuck in!
