Construction Club Volunteers

Opportunity

Our Construction Club enables young families to engage in a fun, social activity whilst accessing and learning about our library environment. The activities are all about building fun objects from 'lego-like' blocks (Often it can get quite competitive with the dads!) including buildings, space ships, superheros etc.
We are on the hunt for some volunteers to help run the club, encouraging everyone to join in, lending a hand with construction and helping clear away the 'blocks' at the end of the session.

The role is fully supported by library staff and there is a library induction and ongoing support with the role. Parents / carers stay with their children so there is no requirement for a DBS check.
Volunteers can be 14+.

Skills

Great communication skills and clear spoken English.
Aged 14+.
Available Saturday afternoons and happy to have a regular volunteer commitment.
