Fundraiser

FATN Talking News is a charity that provides high quality recordings of local newspapers in the West Surrey and North East Hampshire area for the visually impaired. The recordings are available on memory sticks and delivered weekly free of charge, to be played on a dedicated playback unit provided by FATN. They can also be listened to online, on Smart Speakers and Voice Activated Assistants

We are a completely self financing charity, relying on occasional gifts, donations and fundraising to keep our service operating. However, we do not have any regular income and are on the hunt for someone who will lead our fundraising efforts to enable us to continue our free service for our listeners.

You will be fully supported by our committee and volunteer to raise  awareness in the local community of our charity.

Skills

Someone with previous experience of fundraising would be ideal, but not essential, as this might be an interesting new venture for someone who enjoys meeting people in businesses, local organisations and at charity events.

Good communication skills.

Self confidence.

Friendly, approachable nature.

Fundraising experience (preferable but not essential).

Local business knowledge useful.
