Do you like driving and meeting people?
The Open Mind Club is a social group for adults (18-65) recovering from mental health problems or with long-term mental health problems. We have been in existence for forty years and provide a listening ear and a range of activities such as discussions, board games and crafts. We also run occasional outings such as a trip to the local pantomime or a summer picnic.
We are looking for volunteers to drive our members to and from the club which is held at St Mary's Church in Camberley on Tuesday and/or Friday mornings.
There
would be an opportunity to meet and get to know the people requiring a lift at
the club before starting to give lifts. It is a very friendly group and the volunteer drivers are welcome to stay at the sessions which run from 10am to 12 noon on Tuesdays and Fridays. Volunteer drivers can register for one or both days - whatever fits into your other commitments!
