Mentor to support young people


We are currently recruiting a small team of volunteers to act as mentors to young people between the ages of 14 and 18 who have been identified as having low level issues that could potentially escalate into greater problems in later life. The young person would be matched with a suitable mentor who could guide and encourage them to achieve their goals in life and help build their confidence and self - belief.


We are looking for volunteers who have experience of working with young people and have the time to commit to an initial training period of four weekly sessions of two hours, plus regular follow up training and supervision. It is expected that the mentor meets with their young person on a weekly basis for at least one hour for a period of six months.

Mon Tue Wed Thu Fri Sat Sun

Weekly Volunteers will usually meet their mentee after school for approximately one hour per week. Mentors would be expected to attend group supervision meetings every two months.
