The Big Help Out

25 April 2023

This year, King Charles III will be using his coronation to shine a light on volunteering and the good work that we can all do.

The Big Help Out runs across the coronation weekend (5th – 8th May) to encourage, champion and celebrate all volunteering with 8th May designated the national day of volunteering, when various charities and community groups across the country will be running events to mark the celebrations.

Across North Hampshire we are encouraging local people to use the ‘coronation bank holiday’ weekend to think how they could volunteer to help in their community… basically a personal pledge to get involved over the coming year…

If you’ve just a few hours to spare maybe consider some informal volunteering such as litter picking or donating some clothes to a local charity shop.

A little more time? Have a look through our website….we have oodles of options and if you can’t find what you’re looking for or confused as to where to even start then send us an email and we’ll work with you to come up with some ideas….

It seems a cliché but there is literally something for everyone.
