Activities Volunteer

We’re looking for Activity Volunteers age 16+ to join our teams working with older people across Hampshire. You can volunteer as much or as little as you like and are able to commit to.

As a volunteer, you’ll benefit from:
 

•  Enhanced DBS Certificate – subject to status.
•  VIVID training and development in your role.
•  Support from the Independent Living team throughout your volunteering journey.
•  Expenses for travel.

As an Activities Volunteer, you’ll work with our Independent Living Activities Officer to support in preparing and delivering activities to our customers living in extra care and sheltered housing schemes, ensuring that customers’ wants and needs are at the heart of what we do. 

Previous experience of working with vulnerable people is desirable, as well as a good understanding of the needs of older people in general, but we will provide all of the training you need. If you’re applying to volunteer somewhere further away from home, you will need your own form of transport, but travel expenses will be provided.

Skills
