Charity Promotion Volunteer

We are looking for a confident and reliable volunteer who can co-ordinate information received from local Charities and Community Organisations to create a promotion article for the group, to feature in the Basingstoke Gazette. The information collected will publicise what the organisations aims and objectives are, if they are looking for volunteers, what services and activities they offer, along with links to their social media and website pages, to promote to the local community.

Once collated and approved, each article will be passed to the Gazette Newspaper for promotion in a weekly feature plus added to the BVA website and member database where applicable. You may also like to visit the group to gain a better understanding of their services and the impact they have in the community.

This is a newly created role and would suit someone who is passionate about their local community, to help publicse the work of the many charities in the borough. We would ideally like someone who can commit to one morning or afternoon a week, or more if you wish!

Skills

Confidence and experience with Word, Excel and the production of a promotional advert. Ability to meet with organisation representatives to gain the required information and meet targets of at least one promotion weekly.
