Co-ordinator for Read Easy Basingstoke

It is a sad fact that many adults in the UK can’t read and it impacts on their lives in so many ways. Read Easy is trying to help and we have recently set up a branch in Basingstoke. The Coordinator is a very important role – they meet the coaches and readers to put together the best match and are there afterwards to meet up occasionally and offer support if needed.  The Coordinator works closely with the Management Team and has help from the Volunteer Recruiter who shares the admin and interviewing.

It is so rewarding to see a new reader progress and how much this can change their lives – if you feel you have the time to give to this vital role, we would love to hear from you.

Our Coordinator doesn’t need to come from a teaching background – they need to have good people skills and be very organised.
