Collections Volunteer

Basingstoke and District Disability Forum aim to be the main organisation in our community for anyone affected by any type of disability. This includes disabled people and their carers, as well as fellow charities and local businesses. BDDF is run by a board of trustees who volunteer their time, along with a paid administrator and a group of dedicated volunteers.

As with all charities, fundraising is vital to BDDF. As such, the charity holds several collection days throughout the year at various locations in the Basingstoke and Deane area. This role involves organising these collection days.

The role will involve -

* Sourcing locations where BDDF collection days can be held, i.e supermarkets or the town centre

* Obtaining the correct permissions to hold these collections

* Together with the trustee responsible for volunteers, organise the rotas

* Co-ordinate the day by ensuring the sprint (banner) is displayed, collection boxes are sealed and distributed to volunteers, pass funds raised to the treasurer

The role will be mainly home working, with attendance at events.
