Are you an organised person who loves admin?
We are looking for a volunteer to take minutes at committee meetings for a small mental health support group which supports adults from the ages of 18 to 65. We have been in existence for forty years and run a day centre on Tuesday mornings at St Mary's Church in Camberley. We provide a listening ear and provide a range of activities such as discussions, board games and crafts. We also run occasional outings such as a trip to the local pantomime or a summer picnic.
Our committee meetings are held approximately every 3 months in committee members' houses in the Camberley/ Farnborough area on a Monday morning. In addition, there will be the associated admin work from home to write up the minutes and send them to the Chair once they are completed.
There is also the opportunity to become more involved in the group and to meet the clients as well as the option of doing extra administration tasks for us if you'd like to!
- Ability to take in information and present it concisely
- Word processing and IT skills
- Friendly person who enjoys working in a small team
- Age restrictions
- Expenses reimbursed
- Ongoing support
