Basingstoke Voluntary Action is trialling a Community Coffee Morning at The Orchard and are looking for hosts to help us get this exciting new project up and running.
The community coffee morning will be held every Wednesday from 10am to midday. The intention is that it will be run by a different charity, voluntary or community group each week to provide an opportunity to raise awareness of their work, attract volunteers and raise some funds.
This opportunity is great way to find out more about the Voluntary Sector as you will be based in the Orchard, the hub of the Voluntary Sector in Basingstoke, and you will have the opportunity to be involved in and contribute to a brand new venture!
Typical tasks of a host will be -
To welcome the group to the venue, assist with set up and clear up. This may be a rota system. The group should bring sufficient volunteers to run the actual event
Run the coffee morning on behalf of BVA when there is no charity booked in. There is no food preparation, it is simple tea and coffee
You will need to be available on a Wednesday mornings from 8:30am to 1pm.
Enjoy working with different types of people.
Willing to get stuck in.
