Community Fridge Food Collectors

We are looking for volunteers to help with Hale Community Fridge & Cupboard. This project prevents food waste by collecting surplus food from supermarkets and making it available to the local community. We are passionate about reducing waste and supporting the local community.

What would the role entail?

Building positive relationships with local supermarkets and collecting their surplus food on a pre-arranged basis. You would then need to bring the food to Hale Community Centre, sort through the food and put it away.

You would need to have your own car, be able to follow the food hygiene requirements as per training provided and be able to unlock the centre, set alarm code on leaving etc when required.
