Conservation - Hazel Coppice Restoration

Do you want to be part of a project that aims to increase bio-diversity? Would you like to get involved in restoring a derelict hazel coppice on an ancient woodland site? Interested in conservation and like to get stuck into hands-on tasks such as coppicing and brush clearing? Then this opportunity will allow you to get involved with a team of conservation volunteers near Crondall.

The site is not generally open to the public and has limited access routes through it so there will be an element of “trail blazing” at times, and we will also carry out regular surveys to assess progress.  Activities will vary seasonally.

The project runs every Tuesday throughout the year and in most weather conditions.

Skills

Experience using loppers and bowsaws would be useful but not essential.
