Speak to volunteer drivers, once a fortnight, to check if they are free to arrange transport for blind or partially sighted club members with a couple of miles radius – mostly very local. Usually the same driver picks up the same club members (2/3) in same locality
Each volunteer driver would only be needed once a fortnight on a Monday afternoon – usually the 2nd and 4th of the month. Meetings start at 2 and finish at 4pm, though it is beneficial to get the member there between 5 and 10 mins beforehand as they might be slow settling in. No office work required other than to telephone the member(s) 1 or 2 - living nearby, a few days before the meeting to check they are ok to come to club meetings and in most cases take the same person each time.

When can I volunteer?
Volunteer would be invited to club meetings or outings if and when arranged should they be interested. We offer afternoon tea to those that attend and we have entertainment and speakers when we are able to.
This opportunity can be carried out whilst working from home.
