We are looking for volunteers who enjoy being out and about, to help our retail drivers collect stock from the public and businesses in the local area. The role will require you to help deliver empty bags to properties around the local area, then collect the donations and load and unload stock at our sites
Alongside a Retail Driver, you will travel as a passenger in a van to efficiently deliver bags and collect donated goods. This will include:
Collecting donations from local businesses and from members of the public as required.
Safely loading and unloading goods
Supporting the delivery of goods to customers/shops/couriers on occasion
No previous experience or qualifications are required. However, the following skills will be helpful:
Good communication skills and ability to get on with people
Happy working in a team
Good time management skills
Physically fit and ability to lift bulky and heavy items and follow health and safety procedures
Be reactive and flexible to needs of customers and Shaw Trust staff.
