Our project helps to support adults with learning disabilities. We have a great range of
activities including growing fruit and vegetables, egg production, gardening, carpentry, looking after animals and making items to sell.
Helping vulnerable adults to achieve their potential is very rewarding and our volunteers come from all walks of life and across all ages.
If you can’t make a regular commitment, we always need volunteers to help at various events throughout the year. In 2020, these include:
25th April, Barn Dance,
30th May, Plant Sale & Open Day,
10th October, Fun Run plus 5 and 10k trail runs,
4th December, Carol Service
Event Planning – if you are good at checklists, phone calls, emailing and generally keeping things on track, you could do that with us, either as a one off or for a few of the key events we hold each year.
Marshals – We need marshals to help direct participants, supporters and the general public
Publicity – We need help before and after events dealing with the press and media to get the word out and tell our stories. You can do this from home even.
Raffle organising – a number of our events have raffles as a part of them and they need organising in advance and running on the day.
General helpers – You could help us set up at an event, or help with the tidying up at the end. You could run a stall or oversee one of the games.
