Love the outdoors? Fancy getting a bit of events experience?
Hart Countryside Services are looking for a volunteer to help out with their events. The role will be quite varied and could involve being a 'back marker' for walks and activities helping to ensure that all participants are welcomed and supported throughout the event and to support the Ranger leading activities. These range from bat walks to bug hunts, den building, nature crafts and running a stall at public events. Volunteers will also be asked to help the Education and Events Ranger with other related tasks such as organising the events and education supplies.
If there are any activities where you'd like to have a deeper involvement, there will be opportunity to do that. This could help you further your knowledge of working in the countryside industry and and develop your confidence in interacting with the public to gain experience to help you in a future career. However, if you're simply looking to help out in your spare time and enjoy the countryside, that's great too!
No special experience is necessary - just a love of the countryside and a willingness to talk to members of the public.
