As a health promotion volunteer you should be friendly and outgoing, and able to commit to one morning or one afternoon a week.
You will need to be reasonably physically fit, as the role involves replenishing leaflet racks and putting up poster displays in public areas of the hospital. We will provide you with the use of a small trolley in which to transport stocks of leaflets and display materials to areas designated as your individual responsibility.
You will be part of a wider team of volunteers who are based at the Health Information Point (HiP) at Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital, and supervised by the Macmillan Health Information Manager. Opportunities for this role are available on our Andover, Basingstoke and Winchester hospital sites.
Volunteers should be 18+ and be reasonably physically fit.
All Trust volunteers must attend a mandatory training day. Training specific to the role will be carried out on an ongoing basis.
