Parkside is seeking an additional Trustee who wants to make a genuine contribution to a valued local charity. Our charitable purpose is to provide support services for both children and adults with learning disabilities living in the local area.
At Parkside we are keen that our voluntary board of Trustees bring with them a variety of skills and expertise that will enable Parkside to develop in a professional and sustainable way, ensuring all stakeholders are offered, where possible, the services and opportunities they require.
Business and financial experience would be an advantage but primarily understanding and empathy of and with the situation of the vulnerable people we support.
Becoming a trustee does require a commitment of time and energy, but it is rewarding to be able to apply your skills and knowledge to the development of services to Parkside's many vulnerable clients.
No additional details recorded for this opportunity.
When can I volunteer?
The trustees formally meet as a Board every 6 weeks, plus at other times to conduct specific business, usually as an informal sub-group. Three trustees sit on the Management Group, which also meets at 6 weekly intervals.
