Help with the finances

Hale Community Centre, an active, creative and resident-focussed organisation, is looking for a new Treasurer as our long-standing one is about to retire.  The role is key to ensuring the organisation is fully aware of its financial position at all times and in helping set its strategic aims and objectives.

It will involve, amongst other things, supporting the Centre Manager in ensuring all income and expenditure is recorded accurately and as swiftly as possible; maintaining payroll for the two employees of the organisation; preparation of annual budgets, in conjunction with the Centre Manager and Chair, of quarterly management accounts for the Board and of financial information for the end of year accounts and Independent Examination.

It will also be necessary to ensure that the board (with nine trustees at present) is aware of all financial implications of its strategic and operational decisions, and of its financial obligations.

Much of the work can be done at home, with monthly visits to the Office to liaise with the Manager and as necessary the Chair of the Trustees.  Board meetings take place early evening at the Centre and last for about two hours.

If interested there are opportunities to be involved in some of the activities run by the Centre in support of local residents.
