IT / Network Volunteer

Helping Hands for the Blind community radio station are looking for a volunteer to ensure that the radio stations IT network is kept online and in good useable condition. Our studio is situated in The Roger Morris Centre which is in the Eastrop area of Basingstoke. 

Key Responsibilities and Duties :

  • to manage the stations IT and networks
  • to ensure that all of the stations computers are kept up to date and working
  • to trouble shoot, fix and keep working the stations IT

The time commitment required for this role is 2 - 3 hours each week. 


Skills and Experience required :

  • use of computers, IT and networks, software and Raspberry Pi applications
  • good communication and listening skills
  • patience, flexibility and a good sense of humour
  • a friendly and approachable manner
