For nearly 40 years Communicare have offered our transport to medical appointments service to local residents. With over 600 clients and 100 volunteers we (usually) record around 3,000 driving tasks a year.
Many of our volunteers are retired and we are currently paused in our service due to Covid-19 but are taking the opportunity to get up to speed, to enhance the way we work.
We are therefore looking for a volunteer with the expertise to investigate, recommend and (if necessary) help install a secure booking system that will ultimately replace our current paper based diary, logbook and card index system.
chosen a system, we will need ongoing support to populate, maintain and keep it
secure and current. We hope that the volunteer may be able with this activity or if not help us to train our volunteers to use the system.
We are a friendly committee, keen to get back to delivering our much valued service.
Ideally background in IT software procurement.
to date knowledge of computer systems and databases.
An enhanced DBS check will be required which we will undertake on the volunteers behalf.
