Do you care about the countryside? Do you care about the local wildlife?
Enough to do something about preserving it?
So does the Blackwater Valley Countryside Trust, and it is looking for new Trustees committed to help improve habitats and access along the 23-mile valley from Farnham to Swallowfield.
We raise funding for, and manage, projects which improve the environment along the Valley. Current projects include path restoration, providing boxes for bats and birds and benches for walkers, managing reed beds to improve bird habitats, and planting hedgerows to help site management. We also run walks and talks on wildlife and related themes.
If you are interested in helping to make these kinds of things happen, please contact our Chairman using the contact details below. You will join an existing Board of nine committed individual Trustees. Trustees are responsible to the Charity Commissioners and the membership for the proper management of the Trust.
All skills are useful, but at the moment we are particularly looking for men or women able to help us raise funds and manage projects, people with Town and Country Planning knowledge, or with marketing skills - but mostly we are looking for enthusiastic people who can add value to the organisation.
