Make a real difference as a voluntary driver

We are looking for a volunteer to make a real difference to the lives of people with learning disabilities and autism. Our volunteer drivers, drive the people we support to the activities and appointments that are important to them.

As a volunteer driver with Dimensions, you will have the opportunity to be the person who makes a real difference for the people we support by enabling them to attend their activities and services.

We are looking for a volunteers who can support three people who live in the Aldershot area, which will be the start and end point of the majority of journeys. The volunteer will be asked to drive a Ford Transit van which has been converted to accommodate wheelchairs. The people we support will be always accompanied by their support workers during all journeys.


     We're looking for someone who:

  • Has a valid UK Driving License (or equivalent)
  • Is aged 21 or over
  • Has at least 2 years driving experience
  • Has the ability to understand verbal and written instructions in relation to journeys
  • Is friendly
  • Is reliable and has good punctuality

Availability Details

Currently we are flexible with what day and time and the locality manager will speak to all volunteers. We do ask that drivers volunteer regularly so that the people we support are able to get into a routine.
