'Singing for the Brain' Volunteer

Enjoy a sing along! Love meeting new people? Free Tuesday afternoons? Then we'd love to hear from you!

Memory Lane have now been running in Fleet for several years and following the pandemic we are looking for more volunteers to joining our team of helpers!

Volunteers are ideally required from 2pm to 3.45 pm to help with set up - the actual session runs from 2.30pm-3.30pm.

We ideally need volunteers who can commit to the full afternoon however if a volunteer needs to leave early or arrive a little later we can accommodate this.

Volunteers do not need to have any previous knowledge or experience. Also don't worry about being able to read music or having a good singing voice - all we want it enthusiasm, great interpersonal skills and being able to commit to regular weekly volunteering.

Volunteers need to be 17+ - students welcome if they have a Tues pm free from studies.

Volunteers get involved with:

Preparing the hall and helping with refreshments.

Greeting the participants on arrival and chatting to them before the session starts.

During the session handing out song sheets and hand held instruments.

Generally joining in with the singing!!

At the end of the session, helping to clear away the above and chatting to participants.

Great communication skills.

Enjoy singing.... you don't need to be in tune, just enthusiastic! :)
