Race for Life Volunteers Needed

Join the Race for Life volunteering family! We're on the lookout for an inspirational team of volunteers. Whatever time and skills you’ve got to share, we’ve got the perfect role for you. Bring your energy, smiles and a passion to the party and let’s beat cancer sooner together.

We are looking for volunteers to help us at our Race for Life event in Basingstoke, taking place on Saturday 16th June and Sunday 17th June 2018. We have several roles for people to volunteer in during the day -

Enquiries Volunteer -
With the excitement of race day there’s bound to be questions! Help ease the nerves by supporting our runners and spectators with their queries.
Set up the administration marquee and help assist participants and spectators with any queries.

Event Day Volunteer -
Get stuck in with anything! From pitching flags and hanging banners to handing out water and medals, you definitely won’t be twiddling your thumbs.
Support the event logistics, such as start/finish activities, to ensure everything runs smoothly.

Course Marshal Volunteer -
Cheer our runners, walkers and joggers as they take on the course and lift some spirits along the way. You’ll be the extra oomph they need to cross that finish line! Inspire, cheer and motivate participants at marshalling points across the course.

You will receive a full briefing email two weeks prior to the event with timings, further role details and practical information from the Event Manager. You will then be able to get in touch with any questions you have ahead of the event. On the day volunteers will arrive around 2 hours before the event starts to help set up and have your briefings.

No specific skills required just plenty of enthusiasm!
