We need your help to deliver a school that is inclusive, nurturing and encourages a life long love of learning.
Volunteering as a Governor is a great way to support and challenged the teaching team as they help pupils reach their full potential.
There is free training and support to help you grow and use your skills and experience in this exciting and important environment. The role is varied and yet doesn't 'take over your life'. It's also an ideal way of sharing your life experience / business knowledge and can be incredibly advantageous for those looking for 'board' level experience.
Becoming a school governor is an excellent opportunity to give something of real value back to the local community.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
No prior experience is necessary, although if you have a background in business this could prove advantageous.
Availability to visit the school from time to time during the school day, both to observe its work and to be a visible presence on behalf of the governing body.
