Summer Reading Challenge

Could you help Farnborough Library to encourage local children to read 6 books over the summer? Could you make reading fun and inspirational for them?

Tasks include:

  • Registering children for the Summer Reading Challenge on a database (laptop)
  • Explaining how the Summer Reading Challenge works to parents / carers and children
  • Listen to children talking about the books they have read
  • Give out stickers to children and update their information on the database
  • Award certificates and medals to those children that complete the challenge.

The Summer Reading Challenge is a national scheme produced by the Reading Agency.

The theme this year is Gadgeteers, a science and innovation themed Challenge that will spark children's curiosity about the world around them.

Training will be provided.
