Sadly our 92 year old volunteer has finally decided to hang up her 'pinny' and we are on the look out for someone to fill her boots!
Our Thursday Lunch Club provides a hot lunch for our older residents living in the community and we are lookig for a volunteer(s) to help our chef prepare the lunch.
The role involves preparing vegatables, salad and generally helping our chef to cook the lunch. Nothing too tricky and no prior experience is required. It's a great way to meet new people, have some fun and do something really rewarding for older people in our community.
You don't need to volunteer every Thursday - we can be flexible. The day starts at 9.30am with a cuppa and a natter whilst we decide what we're making and then we get cracking! We're normally all done by 1.30pm but if you need to go earlier thats not a problem.
No prior experience required - just friendly, happy to chat with a 'can do' attitude.
You will need a basic food hygiene certificate - which we will arrange.
