Enjoy cooking? Preparing traditional, tasty meals? If so we'd love to hear from you as we're on the hunt for volunteers to join our lunch club team.
One Thursday a month we provide a simple, home-cooked, two course lunch for our local elderly residents to enjoy at our lunch club in the Cross Barn, Odiham. It's a place for them to chat, meet friends and socialise - all over a home-made meal.
Could you spare a few hours one Thursday a month to come along and help?
The role involves food preparation and cooking simple fair that our clients love from Cottage Pie to Apple Crumble. You'll be part of a small friendly team who will show you the ropes and make you feel really welcome. The satisfaction of seeing an older person enjoy what may be their only home-cooked meal is priceless.
Ideally have some experience of catering for family or friends as we can teach you the rest...If you're retired from a career in catering, learning the ropes at college or just enjoy cooking - perfect.
Good communication skills.
