Too busy to volunteer? Maybe you can't commit to a regular volunteer role but would still like to feel connected to our community? Then have a look at our new time bank - Time4Hart.
Time4Hart is about local people helping and supporting each other in all kinds of different ways – through practical help, skills sharing, personal support or tutoring. Anyone can join, as everyone has something to offer and there is no regular commitment – you can offer as little as an hour! It could be helping someone to do their gardening, shopping or DIY or maybe you need help with things like these yourself?
By giving an hour, Time4Hart members receive an hour's credit back and are able to ‘withdraw’ their time when they need help for something themselves.
An example of an exchange is:
1. You volunteer one hour of your time to teach someone to bake a cake
2. This earns you one time credit.
3. You spend this credit on someone helping you in your garden for an hour.
Everyone’s time is valued equally and everyone can give to and benefit from the scheme.
There is also the option to donate your “time credits” to the Time4Hart Time Bank Community Pot to help someone in need of more time than they can give back.
Anyone aged 15 or over can apply to become a member of the Time4Hart Time Bank.
Everyone has a skill to offer whether it's keeping someone company, helping with a CV, translating a letter / email or watering someone's plants whilst they are on holiday.
Please note that whilst there is no DBS check required for this role - members will be requested to provide two referees for references.
