We are a small friendly group of volunteers. As the Treasurer of our small charity you will be responsible for preparing the budget and accounts and overseeing the 100 club (Day to Day administration by another Trustee.)
Oversight and amendment of the existing Financial Control Procedures, Investment Policy and Paying Employees Policy as necessary.
Authorising expenditure on behalf of trustees as per authority levels and agreed circumstances in conjunction with Chair and HMS Director.
Preparation of an end of year financial report. This is a position of responsibility and you would be expected to act in this role as an appointed trustee of the charity. We have an expected turnover of around £10k per year.
You may also choose whether or not to become involved in the practical staffing of concerts and events. We will also pay for qualifications in Food Safety and First aid if this interests you.
An understanding of accounting processes would be a benefit but the accounts are not overly large or complicated and training can be provided by the outgoing Treasurer.
We mostly use accessible premises but some homes used for meeting which may not be accessible but we will ensure we work around this if this is necessary.
