Do you have business, marketing or finance skills and would you like to make a difference to your community? Cruse Bereavement North Hampshire needs some new blood on its Trustee Committee and with the current acting Chair looking to step down, someone who would be prepared to transition into that role in time would be especially welcome.
Being a trustee can be a deeply fulfilling and sometimes challenging experience. You bring your skills and you learn new skills, meet new people and directly influence an organisation or cause that you care about. Ultimately your work will change lives.
Trustees are the people responsible for ensuring that an organisation has a clear strategy, that it remains true to its original vision, and that it complies with all necessary rules and legal obligations.
Collectively, trustees have a number of formal roles and responsibilities, which include appointing key people and keeping a check on the organisations finances and activities. They look after the organisation's best interests and promote its aims in the wider world.
Experience of bereavement is not essential, but you will need an understanding of the issues facing bereaved people.
