Rushmoor Voluntary Services (RVS) is looking to recruit to our Trustee Board. This is an exciting opportunity for you to become part of the team guiding RVS into the 2020's. We are keen to find energetic and enthusiastic people who can contribute to the continuing success of our charity, making a real difference to organisations and the lives of local people.
RVS is a forward looking and active organisation. We are particularly proud of our strong local partnerships, and our track record in providing key services to meet local community needs.
Trustees undertake a voluntary role, working together as a Board to share responsibility for the overall governance of the organisation. Specific duties include:
- Providing strategic leadership, and directing business planning
- Ensuring effective use of resources to meet client and community needs
- Taking formal responsibility as an employer
- Overseeing sound financial management and reporting
The Board is always looking for people with a wide range of Financial, Legal, Marketing and HR skills but we are also keen to welcome applications from anyone with broader business and leadership experience who wants to make a real contribution to the local community.
We want our Board to reflect the diversity of the local area, so welcome interest from all members of our multi-cultural community. If you have a passion to develop our services and are motivated to work with us to improve our offerings and support to the organisations and people of Rushmoor you will be a perfect addition.
Becoming a Trustee will also give you opportunities to develop strategic skills and gain new perspectives, through being part of an organisation with an established reputation for leadership and recognised best practice.
