Are you a good team player, with a problem-solving kind of mind-set? Willing to devote a modicum of time and effort to help boost the potential of the voluntary and community sector in Hart? Then we would love to hear from you! If you've worked on a board of trustees or directors before, then you know what to expect - as a team, we need to maintain sound finances, efficient administration and legal compliance and, above all, develop and promote HVA in the public eye.
Your strategic thinking and enthusiasm will be invaluable. We are looking for two new trustees to join our team. We are particularly keen to appoint a volunteer who is used to managing budgets and planning to join our Finance and Strategy Committee. We would also like to appoint a volunteer with a background in HR to join our HR and Governance Committee. Both Committees meet every quarter and for ad hoc meetings as required.
Trustees are expected to attend quarterly board meetings, usually on the first Friday of the month, and occasional ad hoc meetings such as our AGM.
Previous experience in governance, trusteeship and/or committee work an advantage, but not essential. Ditto an understanding of the voluntary sector.
Good people skills.
