Tune for life - community interest company which provides musical therapy and entertainment for people with restricted mobility , disability or various life changing conditions - cancer , stroke as well as elderly and disadvantaged groups of our community etc. Our motto is - 'If you cannot come to a concert - then a concert will come to you.
We come to village halls, community centres, residential/nursing homes, places where different groups meet for coffee mornings and entertain people who otherwise would struggle to attend a musical/cultural event.
We perform in different genres - folk, easy 'popular' classical, jazz etc. We have a very wide variety of repertoire. Our instrumentalists play saxophone, violin, cello, drums, piano and trombone. Our singers sing in different languages. We do concerts as well as workshops where we actively involve the audience.
We know how to create a great atmosphere and give our audience this 'feel good' factor. Normally people would sing along, clap and dance.
Our other activity is workshops of international music and song for school children. We go to schools and give children a taste of other cultures, teach them to appreciate music from all over the world, sing in different languages and get them to take part.
