Opportunities with MHA Communities (Hart and Rushmoor)

About

Living in our own home is one way in which we maintain our independence. Yet really 'living' is also about friendship and support, about being involved in our community, about getting out and about and simply enjoying ourselves. Sometimes, though, that is easier said than done. Our 'Communities Schemes' are local community projects aimed at helping older people to maintain their independence by providing them with a variety of services and support.

MHA is a registered Charity and, through local Communities Schemes, aims to help older people in the community by offering opportunities for companionship, trusted support, plus advice when they need it.

MHA Communities Schemes have services which can be offered at home, and/or within group activities in a place where people can be welcomed, and be among friends.

MHA Communities Schemes would like older people to know that there is always someone to turn to for help, advice or simply a chat.

The range of services varies at each scheme, as we respond to the differing needs of older people in each community.

Each Scheme has its own Manager, a Community Programme Co-ordinator and crucially a team of committed volunteers. Together they provide a wide range of activities which could include:

One to one befriending and support
Information and signposting
Memory Café
Singing for Wellbeing
Lunch clubs
Social activities
