Opportunities with Basingstoke Gateway Award Project (GAP Club)

About

GAP is a social, leisure and life initiative set up 14 years ago for teenagers and young people with a learning difficulty or disability aged between 16 and 25. GAP offers its members a chance to achieve through different projects that are accredited to the Gateway Award Scheme. The Award is similar to the Duke of Edinburgh Scheme and takes place within a weekly Youth Club setting.

Anyone involved in the project is encouraged to set themselves new challenges, learn new skills, gain confidence and make new friends through many different activities. Activities include: Cooking, First Aid, Health and Safety, Aerobics, Dance, Outdoor and Indoor Sports, Arts and Crafts, Gardening, Walking, Camping, Canoeing, Discos, Barbeques, Cinema, Shopping, Bowling and arranging Charity Events.

Basingstoke Gateway Award Project are contactable Monday to Friday between 9:00am and 5:00pm. The club runs 7:00pm until 9:00pm at Junction 6 Youth Club.
