Pantry Assistants will assist with tasks such as stocking shelves, organising inventory, assisting clients, and maintaining cleanliness in the pantry area.
- Assist with the receiving, sorting, and stocking of food donations.
- Help maintain cleanliness and organisation in the pantry area.
- Assist clients with selecting food items and provide excellent customer service
- Collaborate with other volunteers and staff to ensure efficient pantry operations.
- Follow all safety and sanitation protocols to maintain a clean and safe environment.
Skills
- Interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
- Compassionate and empathetic towards individuals experiencing food insecurity.
- Reliable and punctual, with a commitment to fulfilling volunteer shifts.
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required.
