If you enjoy boating, Accessible Boating are on the lookout for new volunteers to help them run their services and have lots of different roles that you could undertake. Their adapted narrow-boats mean everyone can get out and about on the water.
Our boating season runs from April to October with Father Christmas trips in December.
Some of our volunteers help with boat maintenance during November to March.
Volunteers need an interest in canal boating, no previous experience required, just friendly, a can-do attitude and must be physically able.
Boat Drivers will be required to obtain a CCBM (Certificate of Community Boat Management) or an RYA Inland Waterways Helmsman Certficate. Training costs will be paid for by the charity.
Crew members will be given 'on-the-job' training. Refresher training for skippers, crew and dispatchers takes place early in the season.
Volunteers need to be physically due to the demands of the role
