MHA runs a seated, low impact exercise class on a Thursday between 2 & 3pm for 45 mins. The class is aimed at people over 60 looking to increase their strength from the core out. Exercises include stretching, some gentle pulling/pushing exercises & anything on or around the chair that can help to improve the persons strength & stability. MHA have access to balls, hoops & other simple aids. The exercise is done to lively music and members are encouraged to join in as much as possible.
This role may suit a recently retired instructor or someone who is looking to give back to the community.

Skills
A qualification in running an exercise class or Pilates, yoga or something similar. This may also suit someone who is training in this field & needs practice.
MHA has it’s own training programme for all volunteers which is done on line. Line management is provided for the volunteer by the community coordinator & then the locality manager in the community coordinators absence. MHA also has a dedicated volunteer training officer.
