RVS Responder

The purpose of this role is to provide support to community groups and other organisations in Rushmoor, who are looking for one-off or short-term volunteers to help them at events and activities. You can also be called to action when an urgent appeal arises, like the Ukraine appeal. 

Your tasks could include:

• Car park marshalling
• Representing organisations on a stall
• Answering questions of event attendees or checking tickets
• Campaign collectors and sorters (e.g. The Poppy Appeal)
• Decorating for an event
• Running games or face painting 
• Conservation tasks 
• Serving refreshments 
• Collecting/distributing food or clothing
• Support vaccination promgrammes for the NHS or other health services
• And all sorts! 

You could be asked to support at: 

• Sports events
• Music festivals
• Remembrance service
• Community events, such as Victoria Day
• Season events, such as Christmas or summer fetes
• Litter picks 
• Health services events 
• Conservation sessions
• And more! 

Once you have been signed up as a Responder, you will receive information of all opportunities when they arise.  You can 'respond' if something catches your eye and you are available.

Skills
